The art of sustainability

The concept of sustainable development was described by the 1987 Bruntland Commission Report as “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”. That is why we always design and produce according to our respect for the environment, and use the best standards materials to minimize our impact:

Respectful sourcing

We prioritize natural fibers, but we also use recycled synthetic fibres when they have better performance or durability. We aim to grow in recycled fibres in order to strengthen our commitment to circularity.

The cotton yarn we use is organic GOTS certified: grown without pesticides, herbicides, or other chemical fertilizers. Its sustainable production system also helps replenish and maintain soil fertility.

We use organic or BCI cotton, the largest cotton sustainability programm in the world that aims to help cotton communities survive and thrive while protecting and restoring the environment.

Our collections feature 100% LENZING™ Lyocell. Each Lenzing fibre is made from cellulose from sustainable tree farms, a natural component that requires low water and energy consumption. It is breathable, soft, comfortable and 100% biodegradable.

Locally made

We manufacture more than 95% of our pieces between Spain and Portugal. It’s the best way to ensure close and daily contact with all our suppliers and it lets us control all the steps involved in the production. Our partners join the OEKO-TEX certification. This independent system verifies no harmful substances in textiles or the manufacturing phases.

Made to last

Art aims to resonate over time. As our designs do. That’s why we invest in quality materials, workmanship and timeless, functional designs, so our clothes and accessories are used and cherished for a very long time and many generations.

People at the center

We only work with trusted, certified partners who share our vision and agree on our Code of Conduct, to ensure fair work and a safe work environment.
