True Artist by Osamu Yokonami and Nia Delfau Campaign
True Artist by Osamu Yokonami and Nia Delfau
Photographers Osamu Yokonami and Nia Delfau have each exclusively created a series for True Artist, featuring our AW25 Main Collection. The series of photos explore their unique perspectives on how individuality takes shape within a collective setting. Both reflects their own artistic style, remaining within the overarching concept, amongst the enduring backdrop of nature.
Osamu’s photography features portraits in which the existence of each person becomes one with the group - highlighting the strength and beauty of a collective entity. This contrasts against the vision through the lense of Nia Delfau, groups are photographed with each wearing a different True Artist outfit, allowing the personality of the individual to shine through within the ensemble.
About Osamu Yokonami San
Osamu studied at the visual arts college in Osaka, before becoming an independent photographer. As a creative, his work often explores themes of identity, individuality in relation to collective identity, and the dynamics groups and the individual self. The repetition in his work, often facilitated through the wearing of uniforms, allows both the individual personality and the group identity to coexist within a visual narrative.
About Nia Delfau
Nia Delfau is a photographer, originally from Barcelona. In her early years practicing photography, she assisted Osamu in his studio. This influenced her to shift her professional trajectory towards photography from graphic design. Nia’s work often centers around intimacy, nature, and the everyday - drawn to capturing the beauty in simple, unassuming moments. A recurring theme in her photography is the emotive portrait, she captures not just what things look like, but the emotion expressed behind the image.
